Founded in October of 1985, Meadowbrook Machine and Tool set-up shop in Elberton, Georgia. After spending two years in Elberton, the business moved to Eastanollee, Georgia in 1987 where it operates today. Harold Jordan, who owns the business, began the company with a partner, but after several years of working together, the two decided to end the partnership and Harold became the sole owner.
Over the years, changes have certainly been made and what was once a 4,800 sq ft building is now a 21,200 sq ft facility. Being located in Elberton, Georgia for the first 2 years, MMT serviced many granite shops in the area by repairing equipment and producing custom items that each specific shop may have needed. The business continued to operate as a job shop until 2000 when the opportunity to become a full production shop was presented.
After purchasing the first CNC machine in 1992, Harold Jordan recognized the benefit of using a CNC machine over a manual machine and the shop now houses (4) CNC Multitasking Machines, (19) CNC Turning Centers, (2) Swiss Type Machines, and (9) CNC Vertical Machining Centers.
The equipment and gauging that we use allows us to specialize in tight tolerance controlled turning and milling and provide parts for several different industries including aerospace, medical, and food processing.
In 2014, the company became certified in ISO 9001 and maintains the certification today.
We currently have 25 employees and run 2 shifts.
